TEACHER INFORMATION
The Healing Species program
is a Character Education/Violence Prevention Program that
will be provided for your students for 11 weeks. Each lesson
is 45 minutes long.
As a classroom teacher you know very well that negative
student attitudes and behavior impact your ability to teach
academics. The Healing Species is a prevention program designed
to reduce disrespectful, irresponsible, and disruptive behaviors
among students.
A non-profit organization, the Healing Species program uses
rescued, abandoned, or abused dogs to teach character education
and important life skills. The result should be improved student
attitudes, behavior, and academic performance. A trained professional
delivers the Healing Species Program and the dogs used are
therapy dogs that have been trained to behave appropriately
around children.

Species website and click on TEACHER INFO to view a sample
